Chef / Café Manager 
Required at our Educational Farm Cafe in Mill Hill, North London, serving general café food and some of the finest waffles London has to offer. The role would be catering mostly to parents and their children as they enjoy a fun family day out in this London's hidden countryside.

Duties include: overseeing customer service and orders, costing and helping to organise the day-to-day running of the café. A good front-of-house person is necessary as well as a general understanding of a POS system, as it is an open kitchen. You will also have the opportunity to put your own input into the business with any ideas you may have. An interest in linking the Farm and the Cafe would be desirable, as you will have the opportunity to sell and cook with meat reared on our 200 acre Farm. We are looking for a chef to help us with a real 'Field to Fork' experience.

A Full / Part time role is available working from 8-6 and includes some weekends and evenings.
Qualities required for this role:
- At least 2 years of Chef experience
- Clean and professional appearance
- Upbeat temperament and can-do attitude
- To follow the HACCP procedures according to regulations.
- Ensuring quality control measurements and hygiene systems followed at all times.

Salary will be based on experience. A DBS check will be carried out upon employment.

Cafe Staff

We are looking to recruit a Waiter/Waitress at our Educational Farm Cafe, serving general cafe food and some of the finest waffles in London. The farm is located on an 188 acre property and is home to over 200 animals.

There is a full and a part time role available, working form 8am - 5pm and includes some weekends.

Duties include: taking customers orders, serving food, some light barista work and coordinating with the chefs to ensure excellent customer experiences. A good front-of-house person is necessary as well as a general understanding of a POS system. Previous experience of cashing up and handling money is an advantage. 

Salary dependent on age and experience.

Educational Farm Keeper

This is a hands on role and will suit someone who is willing to get their hands dirty and enjoys working closely with animals in the outdoors as well as interacting with the public. The succesful candidate will have: 

-previous experience with animals

-excellent customer service skills

-an animal related qualification

-a passion for the goals of the business and the ability to prioritise tasks and work using initiative and dedication. 

This is a full time position, and salary will be dependant on experience. 

Job Type: Full-time

Required experience: 2 years. 

 

 

Volunteers

 

Are you over 16 and looking for practical, hands on experience with animals? Or maybe you want some enriching outdoor work to do in your free time? Then volunteering at Belmont Farm is for you! We are looking for dedicated and hard-working volunteers for weekdays and Sundays to assist the Farm Managers with their daily tasks, such as feeding and mucking out the animals. This work will get you up close to our variety of animals and will teach you what it's like to be a farmer! It's great for those looking to complete an Animal-related qualification or for those who just love animals and fresh air!
